The Hawk and the Spider is the 9th episode of the second season.
History[]
When Tony was in Stark International, he used the new and improved Stealth Armor to get the Stark International UI chip, but Hawkeye jacked Iron Man and took it. Iron Man followed him but was unable to stop him using the sonic waves till he fell and used it again and stopped him. Iron Man got the UI chip from Hawkeye but was stopped by Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff). They flew off to a hotel and talked about giving the UI chip to Count Neferia until Titanium Man (Justin Hammer) came and got the UI chip but he blasted a wave for them to die. Iron Man flew with the Mark II and he had to free Black Widow and Hawkeye from the cement. The Black Widow stopped Iron Man again but was able to stop and continue on. When Hawkeye and Black Widow arrived in Hammer's building. They were stopped by Hammer's security system, then Iron Man arrived and were trapped by Hammer's new and improved built only for Iron Man system. Iron Man was able to stop and freed Black Widow and Hawkeye again. Together, they teamed up only once to get the UI chip. Hammer activated M.O.D.O.K. and it failed when Iron Man put the UI chip onto M.O.D.O.K. head. The UI chip had a lot of radio frequency and that allowed it to be stopped. Black Widow left with the UI chip and didn't said goodbye. In the end, Iron Man and Hawkeye talk about what happen with the UI chip to M.O.D.O.K. and about things. Hawkeye left with his flying device and Iron Man flew off back to the armory.

- Pepper mentions a "Boxing Glove Arrow" This is used by DC comics Green Arrow. A marksman like Hawkeye.
- Iron Man confronts Hawkeye and jokes by calling him "Purple Arrow" a play on Green Arrow of DC fame.
- This is the first appearance of both Hawkeye (Clint Barton) and Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff).
